Daria Badior

Daria Badior is a cultural critic, journalist and editor from Ukraine.

From 2011 until 2021, she had worked as an editor at one of Ukraine’s most prominent online outlets, LB.ua. Since 2016, she was a Culture Editor and wrote about film, cultural and commemoration policies.

Daria was a member of FIPRESCI and the Ukrainian Oscar committee. In 2018, she co-founded the Union of Film Critics of Ukraine that awards the best Ukrainian filmmakers with the Kinokolo prize.

Since 2017, she has been the co-curator at the Kyiv Critics’ Week film festival, which takes place annually in October.

Now she is a freelancer, contributing to Ukrainian and international outlets: Suspilne Culture, Dwytugodnik, Osteuropa, Kino Raksti and others, and editing series of articles in various outlets on the topics of commemoration, future post-war reconstruction in Ukraine and other topics connecting culture and social issues.
