Jan Daalder (1996) is a Dutch investigative journalist who joined Follow the Money (ftm.nl & ftm.eu) in
2022 after covering agriculture for NRC Handelsblad. His investigations expose European agricultural
policy misconduct, including subsidy fraud and manure regulation violations. Daalder also wrote about
pollution at Rotterdam’s harbor, Tata Steel, and Rockwool in Limburg, more recently he has been
looking into pesticide practices in the Netherlands. Though specializing in long-form investigative
journalism, at heart, he remains a newspaper man who loves breaking news.
