Lena Bjurström

Lena Bjurström is a freelance reporter and a long-form writer, specialized in human rights issues. Her stories have been published by Les Jours, Le Monde Diplomatique, La Chronique d’Amnesty, France Culture, Justice Info and other French medias. Over the past decade, she developed a particular interest in international criminal justice, indigenous rights and climate issues. She co-founded the association Collectif Focus, where freelance reporters and documentary makers share ideas and projects.
Katja Artsiomenka
Katja Artsiomenka was selected for the 2023 Shortlist with The Experience of Powerlessness Changes Everything.
Katja Artsiomenka is radio documentary journalist and a professor for Journalism at HMKW University of Applied Sciences for Media, Communication and Management at Cologne. Since April 2021 Katja Artsiomenka hosts “To the point –Debate from Berlin”, a political talkshow about Belarus for Belarus by the Deutsche Welle. She came to Germany from Belarus in 2004. For her journalist work she was named the European CIVIS-Media-Award.
