Claudia Wiens
Claudia Wiens was selected for the 2021 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Sisters of Europe.’
Claudia Wiens is a German photographer, artist and author currently living in Seville, Spain. She lived and worked in Egypt for 10 years and in Turkey for seven. She holds a Master’s degree in photo design from the University of Applied Arts and Sciences in Dortmund, Germany. Her work has appeared in international publications such as GEO, Stern, New York Times Magazine and The Guardian, and she works for a number of organisations including UNICEF, GIZ and Johns Hopkins. Her work has been featured in many solo and group exhibitions at venues like the Kestner Museum (Hanover), Antikenmuseum (Basel), Kreuzbergmuseum (Berlin), HOST Gallery (London) and several Goethe Institutes.
Stavros Malichudis
Stavros Malichudis was selected for the 2021 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Sisters of Europe.’
Stavros Malichudis is a Greek journalist born in 1992. Based in Athens, he currently works for Inside Story, an investigative ad-free media for which he has covered topics such as the misuse of EU-funds provided for catering of refugees, Uber’s illegal practices in Greece and Teleperformance Greece’s troubling work conditions. He has previously worked for HuffPost Greece and Kanali Ena 90,4 FM. He studied communication, media and culture at Panteion University in Athens, and went on with a Master’s degree in anthropology and gender studies at the same university. Stavros speaks English, German and Spanish.
