Mikhail Rubin

Mikhail Rubin was selected for the 2020 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Master and Chef.’

Mikhail Rubin has covered Russian policy processes for nearly 13 years. During this period, he has had the opportunity to work as a Kremlin pool reporter for the popular print and web-media outlets Izvestia and RBC. He has also worked as a TV-journalist with Rain (Dozhd), hosting a program about the underbelly of Russian politics. Roman Badanin

Roman Badanin was selected for the 2020 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Master and Chef.’

Roman Badanin is the founder and editor-in-chief of Proekt, a non-profit investigative media organization based in Russia. Previously, he worked at Dozhd, RBC, and the Russian edition of Forbes magazine as editor-in-chief. He has also worked at Gazeta as deputy editor-in-chief.

Badanin has been affiliated with the Gorbachev Foundation and the Russian Academy of Sciences as a researcher. He studied history at Moscow State University, and was a Stanford John S. Knight international fellow in Journalism.
