Uri Talshir

Uri Talshir was selected for the 2025 Shortlist with Road to Redemption: How Israel’s War Against Hamas Turned Into a Springboard for Jewish Settlement in Gaza.

Uri Talshir is the lead Interactive Product Manager and Head of Games in the digital division of Haaretz. The Interactive team, which he has led since 2017, is responsible for high-investment journalistic articles and projects as well as flagship products on Haaretz’s homepage. Prior to this, Uri spent 8 years as the Olympic reporter for Haaretz, where he was sent to Brazil to cover the 2016 Rio Olympics. In 2024 he co-authored the book “Mental Jump” with psychologist Ohad Maoz. The book explores the connection between competitive sports and the psychology of elite competitors through the career of Maoz, who has advised top athletes and coaches in Israel for 40 years. Uri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Communication, and a Master’s degree in Organizational Consulting and Development.
