Lola Garcia-Ajofrin
Lola Garcia-Ajofrin was selected for the 2024 Shortlist with The Missing Daughters of the South Caucasus.
Lola García-Ajofrín is a multimedia journalist from Spain with over 15 years of experience covering education, migrations, and women ‘s rights. She has reported globally, including in the U.S., Afghanistan, Brazil, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Cambodia, China, Sri Lanka, and Armenia. Her work has appeared in various international outlets like El País, El Confidencial, El Mundo, La Información, Marie Claire, CNN en Español, Outriders, and Al Jazeera, receiving various international awards. She has been co-nominated for the European Press Prize in 2021 and 2022. Lola holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Complutense University of Madrid (2006) and a Master’s Degree in Television Journalism from Rey Juan Carlos University (2007). She received training in Documentary Filmmaking at LENS School (2020-2022). She authored the book “Gigantes de la Educación. Lo que no dicen los rankings” (Fundación Telefónica, 2017).
