Natalia Arenas Chaves

Natalia Arenas Chaves was selected for the 2024 Shortlist with The Sound of Bullets: The Killing of Colombian Journalist Abelardo Liz.

Natalia Arenas Chaves (Bogotá, 1988). She is the editor in chief of Cerosetenta magazine since 2022, previously she was the general editor. She is a political scientist and has a master’s degree in journalism from the Universidad de los Andes, where she is also a teacher at the Centro de Estudios en Periodismo, CEPER. She worked at La Silla Vacía and was editor of La Silla Pacífico, based in Cali. In 2020 she won the Simón Bolívar National Journalism Award and received the Manuel Clemente Zabala Award from the Gabo Prize for an exemplary editorial team.
