Stavros Malichudis
Stavros Malichudis was selected for the 2021 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘The logbook of Moria.’
Stavros Malichudis was born in 1992 and is a reporter based in Athens, Greece. He covers refugees and migration for international media and Solomon, an independent investigative outlet. He is the community editor of Reporters United, a network of reporters aiming to support investigative journalism in Greece.
He has participated in cross-border investigations: one by Investigate Europe, and another led by Lighthouse Reports, Mediapart, Der Spiegel and Euronews. His work has been published in European and Greek media. In 2019, he was chosen as a fellow for the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence (BFJE) by the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN). In the summer of the same year he was trained in data journalism at Columbia University of New York.
